REFUND POLICY

Refunds will be given at the discretion of the counselor and only for services not rendered. No refunds will be given for services rendered.

 

It is this agency's policy to issue refunds within 30 days of the request being made.  Once we issue the refund, the refund from Square should be reflected on your account within 2 - 7 business days.

 

In order to process your refund, we will ask you to confirm the last four digits of the card you used to make the payments.   This is a security measure this agency incorporates to validate the refund with Square.   As an agency, we are not informed of or retain your full payment details.

 

All sessions are deemed to have started and rendered from the first moment a client has joined or started the session, either in person, by phone, or by entering the virtual platform.

Refunds are at the discretion of the agency. 

 

THINKING FOR A CHANGE

1) Clients will only be eligible for a refund for fees paid for the Thinking for a Change program, either for full or partial payment if the client request the payment in writing within 72 hours of the first scheduled day of class, irrespective of the client attending the first day of class.

2) Refunds can only be made once, for security reasons, the client has confirmed the last four digits of the card used to make the initial payment.

3) Refunds will be issued to the card used to make the initial payment.

4) Refunds will be issued within 30 days of the request for a refund.

5) No refunds will be given for services rendered, outside of the parameters defined in 1).

6) Refunds for initial payments not made using the agency's online payment portal will be made, in line with the parameters defined in 1), on an ad-hoc basis.

               

COUNSELING AND TREATMENT PROGRAMS

1) Clients are not eligible for refunds on sessions not rendered where the session was missed and where the client failed to notify that the session would be missed, within the parameters defined in the agency's cancellation policy. 

2) Clients will not be eligible for refunds for sessions rendered, where the client and counselor undertook the client’s session.   The session is deemed to have started and rendered from the first moment the client has joined the session, either in person, by phone, or by entering the virtual platform.

3) Clients will be eligible for refunds on sessions not rendered if the client has informed the counselor that the session will be missed and an intent not to attend a rescheduled session and/or cancel services with the agency.   These must be made in writing.

6) Refunds will be issued within 30 days of the request for a refund.

7) No refunds will be given for services rendered, outside of the parameters defined in 1), 2), and 3).

8) Refunds for initial payments not made using the agency's online payment portal will be made, in line with the parameters defined in 1), on an ad-hoc basis.

If it is absolutely necessary for clients to cancel or reschedule a session, the client will contact Discover & Recover Counseling Services, LLC at 346.874.0683 at least 2 hours in advance for a 1-hour session to reschedule, 24 hours in advance for a 2-hour session to reschedule, or 48 hours in advance for a 3-5-hour session to reschedule.

 

Missed appointments (“no show and/or no call”) are billed at the same rate as the individual session. Payment for a missed appointment must be paid for prior to the start of the next scheduled appointment. Payments for missed appointments will be accepted over the phone or in person.
